Butters Gallery is pleased to present "Staying Close to Home", a new show of watercolors that examine those objects and affections directly associated with the artist's sense of home by Northwest painter CAROL RILEY.

Also, our introductory exhibition of atmospheric oils and monoprints by New York artist ANNE RAYMOND.

Opening reception Thursday, June 6, from 6-9 p.m.

		CAROL RILEY Oregon artist Riley creates extraordinarily well-rendered still-lifes. Her stylizations of arrangements and architectural sites are imbued with a sense of joy and playfulness.
		ANNE RAYMOND New York artist Anne Raymond creates atmospheric colorfield paintings and prints rich with vaguely caligraphic marks. While hinting at landscape, the works, with their sensual build up of texture, remain loosly abstract--allowing the viewer plenty of fle
