Butters Gallery is pleased to present Debra Van Tuinen's lastest meditations on the land, sky, and seascapes of the Pacific Northwest. While remaining loosely abstract, these encaustic paintings possess a luminosity that genuinely reflects the quality of light in this region.

Debra Van Tuinen uses the encaustic medium to explore a variety of abstracted landscape forms inpired by western North America. These richly colored works achieve luminosity through their varying surface textures and elegant abstract forms.
