Frank Hyder was the year 2001 recipient of the National Senior Fulbright Research Grant, a grant that enabled him to live in Venezuela for nearly one year to paint, teach and exhibit his art. The works produced during his stay have been shown at the Galleria Excelsior in Mexico City, The Centro Columbo Americano in Medellin, Columbia, as well as the Museo Jacobo Borges in Caracas, one of the largest contemporary museums in South America.
This month, as an entire gallery installation, Butters Gallery proudly brings Recuerdos del Mundo Nuevo, a selection of Hyder's Venezuelan body of work, to our patrons.
