		LARRY BROWN Highly regarded as both a long-time established New York painter as well as faculty member the The Cooper Union, Brown works in oil on canvas and tempera paints on paper. He deals with themes of science and universality.
		DOUGLAS SHAFER From the esoteric realms of philosophical thought comes the visualizations of Shafer. Referencing ancient manuscripts, he paints iconographic botanical and figurative images. Often his works will be in book formats.
		MATTHEW HAGGETT A young Portlander, Haggett produces very sophisticated pattern paintings with an encaustic/stencil process. These works exhibit a sense of constant moving chaos within the confines of the traditional western painting grid.
