HUMBERTO GONZALEZ  

Humberto Gonzalez was born in Camargo, Tamaulipas, Mexico on March 25, 1944. His family immigrated to McAllen Texas in 1954 and moved to the Chicago area in 1958. In 1971, Gonzalez moved to Lebanon, Oregon to accept a teaching position at Lebanon Union High School, where he continues to teach Spanish, painting, drawing, English fiction and novel.

EDUCATION

1968 MA in secondary education with emphasis on painting and drawing.

1967 BA degree with a major in art and Spanish literature.

Received a continuation stipend from the Ginsberg Foundation toward graduate study.
