Edward Aglipay was born in 1950 in Vallejo, California. He became a hair stylist at age twelve, then moved to San Francisco in 1974 where he became involved with interior design, portrait photography and still life photography. He left San Francisco in 1985 and moved to Los Angeles to work as an actor, and also as creative director for Aglipay Brown Design Firm. At this time, with no technical training, Aglipay began to paint and sculpt. In 1989 he accepted the lead role in the musical film, "Dragonfly". His paintings are included in numerous private collections throughout the United States. Edward currently lives and works in San Francisco, California.
