He travels throughout the Pacific Northwest and finds favorite viewpoints to paint on site using watercolor and most recently acrylic paint. CAROL RILEY Oregon artist Riley creates extraordinarily well-rendered still-lifes. Her stylizations of arrangements and architectural sites are imbued with a sense of joy and playfulness. DEBRA VAN TUINEN Debra Van Tuinen uses the encaustic medium to explore a variety of abstracted landscape forms inpired by western North America. These richly colored works achieve luminosity through their varying surface textures and elegant abstract forms.
