This month we feature an introductory exhibition of new paintings by WILLIAM LEPORE , a professor in the art department at the Portland State University. LePore creates paintings that, while expressing abstract ideas, are comprised of combinations of precise realistic renderings.

In conjunction with the Portland Art Museum's Meiji Exhibit, we present an show of works by two contemporary masters working in traditional and non-traditional bamboo artistry. Butters Gallery artist JIRO YONEZAWA'S work will be featured along with Japanese resident CHIFUYU ENOMOTO.

Born in Japan, Portland resident Yonezawa takes traditional Japanese basket weaving into the realm of modern art.
